Aamil Sulaiman
Aamil Sulaiman is a Malaysian cellist whose career spans continents and disciplines, blending the finesse of classical training with the flexibility of a modern freelance artist. With over a decade of experience across performance, education, and recording, he stands as a quietly formidable presence in Malaysia’s musical landscape.
Aamil has performed extensively across Southeast Asia, the United States, and Europe, appearing as a soloist, chamber musician, and orchestral performer since 2013. His collaborations include work with major Malaysian recording artists, as well as recording projects for film, television, and commercial music—testament to his musical fluency across genres.
As an educator, Aamil has taught at leading universities in Malaysia and the U.S., and served as Head of Music at Tenby Schools, bringing pedagogical clarity and inspiration to hundreds of young musicians. His ability to move seamlessly between academic instruction and high-level performance reflects a rare combination of depth and adaptability.
His role as cellist and core member of the Hsia & Goh Chamber Orchestra marks a new chapter in his artistic journey—one that unites his international experience with a bold, forward-looking ensemble dedicated to raising the standard of chamber music in Asia.
